The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is the second largest country in Africa and has a vast potential in natural resources and mineral wealth. Agriculture is however the mainstay of the economy with the DRC being home to 50 percent of Africa’s forests, and also has massive river systems which means that the timber industry here is also thriving.

The DRC is the world’s highest producer of cobalt ore and is home to 70 percent of the globe’s coltan production, and they are also major producers of diamonds and copper on the African Continent.
